[ Season 2 ]
[ Older Yen and Madison are slacking about in the living room late one night.
Yen’s snuggled deep into the large chair off in the corner, staring at his
laptop. After about twenty minutes Madi, who is laying on the couch with a
book, looks up at him with a frown. ]
Madi: Are you reading hate mail?
Yen [ frowns as well, pushing his laptop onto the ground ] : I can’t figure out
what to write about next.
Madi [ rolls onto her tummy ] : What did you write about last time?
Yen [ looks at her ] : You didn’t read it?
Madi: Umm… Nope, can’t say that I did.
Yen [ unhappy ] : Some friend you are.
Madi [ innocent smile ] : Sorry, I thought it would be sadistic.
Yen: Well it wasn’t. It was about this group of children who find a doorway to
another universe in their schoolyard.
Madi: How did you come up with that one? Doesn’t sound like a ‘by Yen’ subject.
Yen [ sweatdrops and sighs ] : Angel used to say how great it would be to
escape school life.
Madi [ blink ] : Angel said that?
Yen [ chuckles and leans back, putting his hands behind his head ] : Haha,
yeah. He didn’t like school after third grade.
[ Madi tilts her head, looking in another direction as she’s thinking. Yen watches
her with a raised eyebrow and blinks when she finally looks back at him. ]
Madi: You should write about your life.
Yen: Erm. My life doesn’t have a continuous plot or characters. I’d have to
shorten it, and that would make the chapters just cut stories of things totally
irrelevant.
Madi [ shrugs ] : That may be true, but sometimes the best stories can be about
what we face everyday.
Yen: I’m not like other people. No one would want to read about the crap I’ve
seen.
Madi: But things have changed for you. You could write about what you’ve been
through, and how everything got better because of your friends. At first you
hated the world, now you have a more forgiving outlook of it.
Yen: Sounds gay.
Madi [ ignores him ] : It’s also cute to read about the bad boy finding his
purpose and turning his life around.
Yen [ glares, a blush appearing across his face ] : I’m not going to have
readers think I’m cute.
Madi [ giggles ] : What about Kemo, then?
Yen [ picking his computer up ] : What about her?
Madi: Write about her. If you don’t want people to think you’re cute, make it
about her.
Yen: Do you think she’d be okay with that?
Madi: Maybe not if someone else wrote about her, because I’d make her look like
a total bitch. But you have a good view of her and would make her look good in
the story.
Yen: If I wrote about her, I wouldn’t sway ether way. I’d write about
everything, good or bad.
Madi: Haha, there you go. Writers block fixed!
[ Madi rolls back over, opening her book again. Yen smiles. ]
Yen: If I do write about Kemo. You could be a character in the story. You’d be
the super evil bitch in it.
Madi [ rolls back over, frowning ] : What? You wouldn’t dare.
Yen: Oh I would.. First line, ‘ Madison, dressed in the whorest, bitchest dress
you’ve ever seen, marched straight up to Kemo and punched her right in the
face. ‘
Madi [ smiling ] : And what does the ‘whorest, bitchest dress you’ve ever seen’
look like?
Yen: I don’t know, maybe I’ll get Coro to design it.
Madi: His idea of that would just be naked!
[ Madi and Yen both laugh at the idea and Luka calls from the kitchen. ]
Luka: Do you guys want to have some hot chocolate with me?
[ They both smile, fade out ]
( Admin: Maybe the younger Madison picture didn't really fit the subject, but I was in a rush. )
